What led you to play field hockey?
I was introduced to field hockey in 2013 through the Grow the Game initiative at the National Field Hockey Festival in Florida. They were actively encouraging boys to try the sport, which caught my attention. My sister was already playing as well, so that made it easier for me to give it a shot. I decided to try it that winter, and from there I just kept building on it and growing into the sport.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
Cristiano Ronaldo is a big inspiration for me because of his work ethic and discipline. The way he pushes himself every day and always looks for ways to improve is something I really respect. It is not just about talent, but about consistency and mindset, and that is something I try to apply in my own career.

What does field hockey mean to you right now?
Field hockey is what I love to do, and it plays a big role in my life. It has given me the chance to meet a lot of different people and build strong connections. It has also allowed me to travel and experience places I probably would not have seen otherwise. It is something that keeps me motivated and gives me a sense of purpose.

What was it like to represent your country? How did it feel?
Representing the USA is an incredible honor. Every time I put on the jersey, I feel a lot of pride because I know I am representing something bigger than myself. It is also a reminder of all the work and sacrifices that went into getting there, which makes it even more meaningful.

Which achievement are you most proud of and why?
Winning the silver medal at the 2025 Pan American Cup is definitely something I am proud of. We put in a lot of work as a team leading up to that tournament, especially over the summer. It had been a while since the team reached that level, so it felt like a big step forward and a reward for all the effort we put in together.

How would you describe your own playing style?
I would describe my playing style as simple and efficient, combined with a high work rate. I try to do the basics really well and stay consistent throughout the game. I focus on making smart decisions and contributing wherever I can to help the team.

What makes you unique on the field? What do fans recognize you for?
I think my athleticism is what stands out the most. It helps me cover a lot of ground and stay active in both attack and defense. That energy and physical presence are probably what fans notice first.

What is your ritual before and after the game?
Before games, I like to listen to house music in my room to get into the right mindset and stay focused. It helps me relax while also getting energized. After the game, I keep things simple with a protein shake to start recovery and refuel.

How is a normal day in your life?
A typical day starts with training at our centralized location in the morning. After that, I usually have work in the afternoon. In the evening, I like to unwind by cooking dinner, relaxing, and taking some time to recharge for the next day.

What makes you happy?
Simple things make me happy, like listening to music, eating good food, and spending time on my Xbox. Those moments help me relax and enjoy time outside of the sport.

What do you do besides field hockey?
Outside of hockey, I like to stay active, whether that is in the gym or playing golf or disc golf. I also enjoy cooking, watching movies, and playing video games. It is important for me to have a balance and do things I enjoy off the field.

How do you stay on top of your game?
A big part of it for me is prehab. Staying mobile and taking care of my body helps me avoid injuries and stay consistent. I also focus on maintaining good habits day to day so I can perform at a high level over time.

What do you still want to achieve as an athlete?
My main goal is to become an Olympian. That has always been a dream of mine, and it is something I am working toward every day. I want to keep improving and put myself in the best position to reach that level.

How do you see the evolution of field hockey in the coming years?
I think the game will continue to get faster and more dynamic. With so many creative players coming through, the style of play is evolving as well. I also believe the sport will continue to grow in visibility and attract more fans.

What does it mean for you to be an Osaka ambassador?
It means a lot to be part of an organization that genuinely supports its athletes. Having access to high quality equipment and being backed by a brand that cares about performance makes a real difference. It is something I take pride in.

How has Osaka influenced your career as an athlete?
Osaka has given me the support and environment to focus fully on my development. Knowing I have reliable equipment and backing allows me to concentrate on improving and chasing my goals.

What prompted you to team up with Osaka?
It has always been a well known and respected brand in the sport. On top of that, the people behind it made a strong impression on me. That combination made it an easy decision to work together.

What is your most important advice for a beginner athlete?
Nothing happens overnight. It is important to stay patient and focus on improving a little bit every day. Consistency over time is what really makes the difference.

How do you want to inspire young players?
I want to help grow the game, especially for young boys in the USA, and show them how much the sport has to offer. If they can see how fun it is and what opportunities it can create, that can make a big impact.

How do you want to be remembered as a player?
I would like to be remembered as someone who was part of a group that helped push USA men’s field hockey forward and contributed to its growth.

What would you tell your younger self?
I would tell myself to keep putting in the work and trust the process. At that stage, you do not fully realize how much the sport can shape your life, so just stay committed and enjoy the journey.
