Anatomical Last: The first Field Hockey shoe built around the full contour of your foot, so you sit in the shoe rather than on top of it.
Split Response midsole: Separates under pressure to maximize ground contact exactly where and when you need it, adapting every step.
Origin Point Flex Zone: Engineered under the cuboid bone to flex independently, giving you a precise pivot point for agility.
Dual Sling Lockdown: A lightweight engineered mesh upper paired with inner and outer sling that wrap your foot tight to the midesole and eliminate lateral movement under load.
Inspired by karesansui, the Japanese Zen tradition of dry landscape gardens, the RYU draws from carefully raked patterns that symbolize movement, balance, and harmony. Those flowing lines are translated directly into the KPU upper, creating a design that moves like water across stone. The result is a shoe shaped by nature—precise, intentional, and built on a single belief: true performance and true calm come from the same place.
Built from the inside out
Anatomical Last
Traditional lasts force the foot into a generic shape. The RYU's anatomical last follows your foot's natural contour, reducing pressure points, improving balance and maximizing power transfer.
HEEL SYSTEM
A reinforced heel counter with precision wall thickness locks the foot on hard cuts. The half-star mold adds internal structural support, while the hydrotex membrane keeps moisture out for a dry, stable ride.
CLEAT CONFIGURATION
Triangular cleat geometry engineered for multidirectional hockey movement. Maximum grip on every cut, clean release on every stride. A decoupled sole lets the forefoot and heel flex independently.
MESH + KPU UPPER
Breathable mesh keeps air moving. KPU overlays deliver targeted rigidity exactly where lateral forces hit hardest, without adding weight. Structure and breathability, finally in the same shoe.
ASTROFOAM
Tuned EVA foam that compresses on impact and rebounds fast. Lightweight enough to keep you low, cushioned enough to protect your joints across a full match on artificial turf.
THE O-SPOT
A precision flex zone positioned directly beneath the cuboid bone. It bends independently without influencing the rest of the foot, your natural balance centre for agility, acceleration and deceleration.
STACK HEIGHT
The RYU runs 8 mm, 26 mm heel and 18 mm forefoot. Lower to the field, closer to the game.

"What I notice when I'm Playing hockey in them is that I don't think about my shoes at all. And I think that's the most important.
